I use images of light and shadow to describe a fleeting moment as though the passage of time is holding it’s breath. My images are shorthand for calling up associations that speak about intimacy, solitude and relationships. I love the idea that pillows contain our breath and dreams and the sensory experience of the journey traveled at night; that the folds and creases of a rumpled bed are mysterious evidence of someone having been there.
By focusing on commonplace objects, I highlight the everyday, routine and unremarkable moments -the tiny threads that make up the tapestry of life.
